In the Ancient Rome
Hotel Modigliani is located on Via della Purificazione, an ancient and quiet street of XVIII century which starts from Barberini square until to Via degli Artisti. In five minutes walking, you can reach Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Via Veneto and Villa Borghese. In this street there are two hotels, a restaurant, a bakery store, an herbalist shop and many workshops. In this street there are two hotels, a restaurant, a bakery store, an herbalist shop and many workshops. In Barberini square you could easily find a cinema, some pubs and stores, the red line metro and a taxi station.
From here you can start a suggestive journey along the Via dei Fori Imperiali, right in front of the structure, through the history of the ancient city: from Julius Caesar to Constantine, from the Colosseum to the Trajan's Column. In a monumental succession you can admire: the Forum of Julius Caesar, the first after that of the republican age; then those of Trajan, Augustus and Nerva. At the ascent of the Grillo there are the Trajan's Markets, with a singular exedra structure.
